This is version 1.0 of our new line of ARF Light Controllers, designed to replace the navigation light controllers that come with many of the ARFs being manufactured currently by companies like SeaGull Models and Multiplex. They provide much greater functionality for the lights that come pre-installed in these models, allowing you to control all the lights from the transmitter, including control of the landing lights separately from the other navigation lights. They are designed to be easy replacements for the OEM controllers, and require only simple programming of your transmitter.
Our ARF Light Controllers connect to the lights installed in your plane using the same connectors, and connect to a spare channel in your receiver. They include outputs for the position (navigation) lights that are solid "on", an output for 2 double-blink strobes, and a pair of outputs for the landing lights. The circuit features three "Modes", Mode #1 = all lights OFF, Mode #2 = all navigation and strobe lights ON, and Mode #3 = all lights, including landing lights, ON. The strobe output has two sets of connectors, so you have the option of making either the white tail/rudder light or the red left wingtip light a strobe, or both!
The connections for the LEDs are color-coded for easy installation, the green, red, and white wingtip/navigation LEDs, the white and/or red strobes, and the landing lights (black) are clearly marked.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This set (version 1.0) is designed for use with those models equipped with a controller that powers the lights from the receiver, it does not include any connection for a separate, external battery. The LEDs in most planes of this type are 5mm, and are rated for 3.0-6.0 volts DC. If your controller has a connection for a separate, external battery (usually a 3S 11.1 volt battery), please consider the Version 2.0 of this circuit available here.
